LESLIE MILLER
-Owner, Instructor -
Leslie is the owner and founder of Valley Dance Productions and is passionate about dance education and its fundamentals to each and every student. Mrs. Miller teaches ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, lyrical, and hip hop with focus on the younger children's class development. Leslie is currently the instructor and choreographer for junior, teen and senior companies. Prior to opening Valley Dance Productions in the fall of 1999, Leslie taught locally her in Roanoke Valley for 8 years before joining the faculty of Halestone Dance Studio in Lexington , VA where she helped create a jazz and tap program for the modern based school of dance. She has also served as the creator and director of the Creative Movement dance programs at both Second Presbyterian and Raleigh Court Presbyterian Preschools. Leslie has been dancing since the age of 6 and had the opportunity to study under dance legends such as Mike Minery, Debbie Dee, David Howard, Savion Glover and the late jazz dance fathers Frank Hatchett, Luigi and Gus Giordano. She is certified in both Ballet and Jazz through Dance Educators of America. She has choreographed numerous winning routines for Turn It Around Tour, Star Talent, Dance Machine Southeast Showdown and DanceMakers. In most recent years she has added competition judge to her dance resume. Leslie likes to combine her love of dance and fun with achievement. Every dance student that takes class from her feels exactly that!

HEATHER CAULEY
- Instructor -
Heather is a native of Roanoke and is a Valley Dance Productions Alum, where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern. pointe and hip hop. She spent a year at Virginia Intermont in Bristol Virgina before transferring to further focus on her dance education. In 2010 Heather graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. While at Radford she had the oportumity to studiy under the Modern program director, Danah Bella. She was a member of the Danahbella DanceWorks Company for 6 years and has continued her training in the modern dance field. This year Heather will be returning for her 16th season here at VDP. While Heather's specialty is in modern, her expertise in ballet, jazz, lyrical and musical theatre keeps her class schedule pretty full. She is certified through Acrobatic Arts and is the creator and director of the in studio ACRO program. Heather is also co-director and choreographer of the VDP's Competition Company. Her choreography speaks for itself, she is the creator of masterpiece works, that are award winning every season! Heather and her husband Steven are the proud mommy and daddy of 2 fur babies and their 3 sons Jaxon, Sutton and Rhodes. She is very excited to get started with a new dance year and share her unique artistry with her students here at Valley Dance Productions!

CELINE LEWIS
- Instructor -
We are excited to welcome Celine to our faculty here at Valley Dance Productions. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Modern Dance Performance from the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University in Pittsburg, PA. During her time at Point Park she trained under distinguished faculty and artists including Dean of the Arts Garfield Lemoniuos, choreographer Norbert de la Cruz III and Princess Grace Award nominee Jason McDole. Celine has performed works by former Alvin Alley American Dance Theatre company member Christopher Huggins, as well as choreographers and artists such as Wilson Brothers, Beverly Bautista, and Justin Myles. During her time in college she spent a year studying at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where she had the opportunity to train under former Martha Graham Dance Company Member Treiben Pollard, along with Judith Steel and Proctor Wadell. Celine is currently beginning her professional performance carrier, with aspirations in concert dance, NBA dance teams. commercial performance, backup dancing, music videos, as well as film and television. With her, she brings a knowledge of both concert and commercial dance as well as a passion for dance, physical fitness and personal training. Celine is excited to share her love of body conditioning, Pilates and a special blend of fitness, power and dynamic movement to the students here at VDP.

MARY HANNAH WHEELER
- Guest Instructor -
Mary Hannah is a native of Franklin County, VA and is a Valley Dance Productions Alum. She is a 2014 graduate of Virginia Intermont College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Mary Hannah has lived and worked in New York City and Williamsburg, VA. Some of Mary Hannah's credits include: being a member of a Disney workshop in New York City, the Elegant Wife in (Scrooge No More) and Nurse/Dance Captain in (Fiends) at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. In 2019 she added choreographer for Busch Gardens Hallow Scream to her list of accomplishments. Upon her return home to the Roanoke Valley she landed the role as Dianne in 42nd Street and Val in A Chorus Line with Mill Mountain Theatre. She is currently the full-time director of Franklin County High School's Theatre Departmant. Mary Hannah and her husband Luke are brand new parents to Daisy Mae Wheeler. She is excited to share her passion for dance and theatre here at Valley Dance Productions!
