LESLIE MILLER

-Owner, Instructor -

Leslie is the owner and founder of Valley Dance Productions and is passionate about dance education and its fundamentals to each and every student. Mrs. Miller teaches ballet, tap, jazz, pointe and contemporary and is currently the instructor and choreographer for mini, teen and senior companies. She also serves as the director of the pre-school dance programs at both Second Presbyterian and Raleigh Court Presbyterian Preschools. Leslie has been dancing since the age of 6 and has studied under dance legends such as Mike Minery, Debbie Dee, David Howard and the late Luigi and Gus Giordano. She is certified in both Ballet and Jazz through Dance Educators of America. She has choreographed numerous winning routines for Star Talent, Dance Machine and DanceMakers Inc as well as 12 consecutive years of choreography awards for Southeast Showdown. Leslie likes to combine her love of dance and fun with achievement. Every dance student that takes class from her feels exactly that!

HEATHER CAULEY

- Instructor -

Heather is a native of Roanoke and is a Valley Dance Productions Alum, were she studied ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern. pointe and hip hop. She is returning for her 12th dance season here at VDP. Heather is a 2010 graduate of Radford University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. While at Radford she studied under the Modern program director, Danah Bella. She was a member of the Danahbella DanceWorks Company for 6 years and has continued her training in the modern dance field. Heather and her husband Steven are the proud mommy and daddy of 2 fur babies and their 2 sons Jaxon and Sutton. She is very excited to get started with a new dance year!

LEXI BRYSON CHOCKLETTE

-Guest  Instructor -

Lexi started her career in competitive cheer and at the age of 14 began dancing with the Patrick Henry Dance Company. She joined the Valley Dance Productions family at the age of 16 and quickly discovered her love of dance education. Lexi is a 2019 graduate of Roanoke College and currently the education director and corporate trainer for Kinderdance International. She has taught ballet, modern, jazz and breakdancing and specializes in hip hop and flexibility and contortions.

MARY HANNAH WHEELER

- Guest Instructor -

Mary Hannah is a native of Franklin County, VA  and is a Valley Dance Productions Alum. She is a 2014 graduate of Virginia Intermont College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Mary Hannah lived and worked in New York City and recently returned home to the Roanoke Valley. She was most recently seen as Dianne in 42nd Street and Val in A Chorus Line with Mill Mountain Theatre. Other credits include: being a member of a Disney workshop in New York City, the Elegant Wife in (Scrooge No More) and Nurse/Dance Captain in (Fiends) at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. She has most recently added choreographer for Busch Gardens Hallow Scream to her list of accomplishments. She is currently a full time teacher of English and the director of Franklin County High School's Theatre Program. Mary Hannah is excited to share her passion for dance and theatre here at Valley Dance Productions!
